Paris-born Catherine Sarr is the Founder and CEO of ALMASIKA, a Chicago-based fine jewelry brand inspired by universal symbols, shapes, and stories that connect cultures. Guided by the belief that jewelry holds meaning beyond adornment, ALMASIKA draws from art, design, and heritage to create pieces that speak to our shared human experience. Its creations have been worn by Michelle Obama, Alicia Keys, Sandra Oh, Priyanka Chopra, and Reese Witherspoon.
Extending this vision to contemporary arts, Catherine and her husband, support emerging artists through The Sarr Collection, which includes the PRIX Sarr with Les Beaux-Arts de Paris and a U.S. residency program in collaboration with Villa Albertine.
Catherine serves on the board of the Terra Foundation for American Art, is a member of Villa Albertine Chicago, and of the Cercle des Ambassadeurs du Palais de Tokyo. In 2022, she was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government.
