Awards Process
GEM Awards Nominations Process
Companies and individuals can submit themselves or others for consideration as GEM Award nominees in jewelry-focused categories. Some awards, including the GEM Award for Lifetime Achievement and GEM Award for Jewelry Style, are pre-selected and announced in advance of the gala. The GEM Awards Committee reviews the submissions to determine the final GEM Award nominees and/or honorees in each category.
The GEM Awards Nomination Period is closed for the 2025 GEM Awards.
Selecting GEM Award Winners
The three nominees in each category are judged by a panel of industry experts whose ballots will be sent to an independent firm to determine the winners and keep the results confidential. The winners are revealed live at the GEM Awards ceremony. The GEM Awards winners are judged for their body of work from a specific period of time.2025 GEM AWARDS JUDGING PANEL
