New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, and the GEM Awards Committee are proud to announce that John A. Green, President & CEO of Lux Bond & Green, will be the recipient of the GEM Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 23^rd annual GEM Awards taking place on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Cipriani 42^nd Street in New York City.

The GEM Awards gala honors the outstanding achievements of individuals or companies whose work raises the visibility and status of fine jewelry and watches. Green was selected by the GEM Awards Committee for his diligent devotion to the jewelry industry, his family-owned jewelry stores, GEM Awards, and his dedicated service throughout his celebrated career in the jewelry industry.

John A. Green is a graduate of Boston College and Gemological Institute of America (GIA). In 1992, John was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Lux Bond & Green representing the fourth generation. Lux Bond & Green, established in 1898 by John’s great grandfather, has five locations located in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and a newer concept store called Store52 in West Hartford, CT. John has held several leadership positions within the jewelry industry and Greater Hartford community including the Saint Francis Hospital Foundation, Greater Hartford Community Foundation (Travelers Championship), West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Jewelers Mutual Group, Jewelers of America, Jewelers for Children, Jewelry Information Center, GEM Awards, GIA and MJSA.
